Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Saturday and Sunday. 10AM – 6:30PM (with 30 minutes unpaid lunch).
Salary Amount or Range: $55-$60/hr DOE on payroll. PTO, Sick days

Description

Position:
We are representing a couple in Berkeley who are seeking a part-time Housekeeper to clean, organize and support a 6,000 sq. ft. home.

The ideal candidate is a responsible, service-oriented and highly motivated person who communicates well with the owners and executes on their preferences. The person should be flexible, hands-on and willing to help with all tasks within the household. It is also important that the person be discreet, detail-oriented and willing to take constructive feedback. The person should be a good listener, a team-player and should be comfortable around pets.
We require that the person be a non-smoker, be authorized to work in the U.S., have a valid driver’s license and pass a thorough background check. The person should provide his/her own transportation for errands.

Experience Requirements

2 or more years of experience working in a private home with verifiable references

Educational Requirements

Fluency in English

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• General housecleaning (interior and exterior), including keeping outdoor patio and front porch clean, cleaning greenhouse, garage, and outdoor storage areas; deep cleaning as needed
• Laundry, including sheets, towels and personal clothing
• Coordinating dry cleaning
• Organizing house and maintaining inventories in coordination with owners
• Making beds daily and changing linens as directed
• Watering plants
• Buying household supplies as needed
• Shopping and running errands in coordination with owners
• Feeding and caring for pets (2 dogs, 2 cats, 1 gecko)
• Coordinating pet appointments, including vet/groomer
• Cleaning cars, as needed
• Assisting with packing/unpacking for travel
• Wrapping gifts, mailing packages, sorting and organizing mail and opening packages
• Taking out garbage and recycling bins and breaking down boxes
• Handwashing fine china and crystal, and polishing silver
• Coordinating maintenance and repair items with other staff
• Coordinating with primary housekeeper and other staff members
• Special projects as needed
• Other housekeeping and household duties as determined by owners
