Job summary

Chisholm Chisholm & Kilpatrick is seeking an attorney with 2–3 years of trusts and estates litigation experience to join our Providence, RI team. The attorney will represent nonprofit organizations in disputes arising from wills, trusts, and charitable gifts.

You will work with senior attorneys on high-value matters, manage local counsel, and handle research, writing, motions, and hearings. Travel may be required, and compensation includes a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license and good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent national nonprofit organizations in probate and trust disputes, including will and trust contests and related fiduciary matters.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and related litigation materials.
• Conduct legal research and analyze issues involving probate procedure, trust administration, and fiduciary duties.
• Manage local counsel and oversee case documents, depositions, hearings, and mediations.
• Communicate with clients regarding case developments, risks, and recommended actions.
