Job summary

LTC is seeking Bengali-English interpreters in Indianapolis for contracted, on-site interpretation. Ideal candidates have 3 years of interpreting experience and familiarity with medical, social work, education, and workplace settings.

As an independent contractor (1099), you will provide interpretation services, maintain accurate records, and comply with HIPAA and other privacy laws. Candidates must live within commuting distance of Indianapolis.

Certifications in interpreting are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years medical interpreting experience
• Minimum 3 years interpreting experience
• Interpreting experience across medical, social work, education and workplace settings preferred
• Candidate must be domiciled within commuting distance of Indianapolis, IN

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site, in-person interpretation.
• Be a liaison between client and patients using the client’s preferred language.
• Accurately interpret in a manner appropriate to setting and audience.
• Comply with privacy and confidentiality laws and HIPAA requirements.
