• 1–2 years of department-specific work experience and/or insurance prior authorization and verification of benefits preferred.
• Must have computer experience and be able to maintain accurate insurance records.

• Provide accurate documentation to insurance companies in a timely manner.
• Obtain prior authorizations for treatments, procedures, and medications in collaboration with physicians.

• Verify that treatments meet medical necessity based on provider diagnoses.
• Audit billing records to ensure proper documentation for reimbursement.
• Educate physicians and staff on documentation requirements and address issues promptly.
• Collaborate with Patient Accounts to follow up on insurance appeals and denied claims.
• Attend meetings to stay informed about insurance regulations and updates.
• Build relationships with insurance company representatives to facilitate issue resolution.
