Job summary

Addiction Recovery Care, LLC is seeking a detail-focused administrator to support patient billing and records management at our Kentucky location. You’ll collaborate with team members to resolve challenges, verify benefits with insurers, and enter data into KIPU CRM to ensure accurate patient records.

The role requires basic computer skills, reliability, and a willingness to work some evening shifts while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED; AA degree preferred.
  • Experience using Windows and basic computer skills.
  • Self-motivated and reliable.
  • Availability for some evening shifts.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and stay on schedule.
  • Ability to enforce program requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Works with team members to resolve challenges and receive training and support.
  • Demonstrates the ability to deal with patients and insurance companies.
  • Identifies billing and insurance coverage problems and communicates with the Billing Manager and Utilization review.
  • Assists with logistical and/or clerical problem resolution related to the patient’s medical records, authorization and billing issues.
  • Pre-verify benefits and eligibility for all HMO, PPO, commercial, and Medicaid insurances for all old and new patients/clients.
  • Contacts insurance companies by telephone to verify benefits.
  • Enter the patient’s benefits information in KIPU CRM Software and assign it to the appropriate Intake Coordinator.
  • Monitors all incoming faxes and directs them to the appropriate people.
  • Inputs authorization information in the appropriate patient’s chart received via fax.
  • May access protected health information (PHI) only to the extent necessary to complete job duties.
  • Encouraged and expected to report, without threat of retaliation, any concerns regarding Addiction Recovery Care Center/Odyssey, Inc.’s policies and procedures about client privacy and any observed practices in violation of policy to supervisor.
  • Protects the privacy of all persons served/clients information in accordance with Addiction Recovery Care Center/Odyssey, Inc.’s privacy policies, procedures and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with general principles of professionalism as a healthcare provider.

Key Experience and Education Needed
  • High School Diploma/GED – AA degree preferred.
  • Working knowledge of computer usage with experience in a Windows environment.
  • Self‑motivated.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and stay on schedule.
  • Ability to enforce program requirements.
  • Problem‑solving abilities.
