Job summary

Option Care Health is hiring a Benefit Verification and Authorization Specialist to support patients referred to our remote team. This position is fully remote and must reside in the Mountain Time or Pacific Time Zones.

You will work with payers to understand benefit design, interpret medical policies, obtain required authorizations, and relay coverage details to Patient Access staff to help onboarding proceed smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of two years of experience in Benefits Verification OR Authorizations related experience.

Job Description Summary:

This position will be working fully remote; however, it does require an individual that resides in either Mountain Time or Pacific Time Zones.

The Benefit Verification and Authorization Specialist supports patients referred to Option Care Health to receive specialty medications by completing benefit verification and authorization activities for new referrals with speed and accuracy to enable timely access to care. This role works directly with payers to understand benefit design, interpret medical policies, obtain required authorizations, and communicate coverage details and outcomes to Patient Access staff to support timely and accurate onboarding.

Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Minimum of two years of experience in Benefits Verification OR Authorizations related experience.

Basic Qualifications

Ability to multi-task and support numerous referrals/priorities at one time.

Ability to work in a fast past environment.

High degree of self-discipline in maintaining productivity expectations.

Must be detail-oriented and have a high degree of quality focus.

May perform other duties as assigned
