(Non-classified includes District Attorney's Office, Hospital Authority, and the Consolidated Courts.) Or II The equivalent of two years full-time experience processing and explaining employee health related benefits in a benefits program or department of a private or public organization.EMPLOYEE BENEFITS TECHNICIAN II - The equivalent of one-year full-time experience as an Employee Benefits Technician I in the Colville Tribes' classified service. (Non-classified includes District Attorney's Office, Hospital Authority, and the Consolidated Courts.) Or II The equivalent of three years full time experience processing and explaining health related employee benefits in a benefits program or department of a private or public organization.Requires a valid Drivers License and be eligible to the Tribes vehicle insurance.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Requires knowledge of basic network navigation, general office practices and procedures.Requires knowledge of computers and skills using certain Microsoft Office software applications.Requires Analytical skills for researching various data, identification or sensitive applications, and problem areas.Requires Problem solving, critical thinking skills and ability to adapt to the rapidly changing requirements of development of the Benefit systems.Requires Excellent organizational skills needed in order to work effectively with frequent interruptions, to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, and to establish priorities and organize workload.Requires the ability to work independently, to be detail oriented (written and oral), and to have a consistent above-average work attendance record.Requires the ability to carry out assignments discreetly, effectively, and efficiently in sensitive, confidential circumstances.Requires the ability to relay recommendations, and give effective presentations and/or responses to questions from managers, employees, or the general public.Requires the ability to communicate to management verbally or in written form.Requires the ability to track multiple incidents involving multiple parties and follow up to ensure those items have been resolved or are in the process of resolution.Requires the ability to research, interpret, and apply appropriate regulations, policies and procedures as well as related tribal, state, and federal requirements.Requires the ability to document events witnessed throughout each shift, daily thru data entry, word processing, maintaining multiple spreadsheets, performing information searches, and email.Requires the ability to maintain records, files, and compile routine information used for reports on pre-detennined formats.Requires the ability to routinely comb through data received in report from multiple resources, in order to identify and red flag possible theft, embezzlement, or system deficiencies.Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule including extended hours, weekends, and holidays.Requires the ability to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups, and over the telephone. This is primarily a sedentary office classification although standing and walking between work areas may be required.Requires finger dexterity to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, typewriter keyboard, or calculator and to operate standard office equipment.Requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, and pull drawers open and closed to retrieve and file information.Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects up to 5 pounds with the use of proper equipment.Requires the ability to drive in adverse weather conditions.Requires the ability to routinely work \"Stand by\" during weekends.Requires the ability to work from home with Company Laptop and access to Web Portals and Work Log Book necessary (2 days a week).Note: Pursuant to Tribal Policy, if this position is safety sensitive it is subject to pre-employment drug testing.
