Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP invites a Benefits Specialist to join our Washington, DC office. The role covers administering a broad portfolio of employee benefits, including COBRA, retiree and international benefits, and parking programs.

You will support enrollment events, educate employees, and ensure compliance with benefit plans and laws. The candidate will manage invoicing, audits, and communications, while partnering with HR to deliver training and resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Industry certification in benefits (CBP, SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
• Minimum of three years of direct work experience in benefits program administration; law firm or professional services preferred.
• Knowledge of benefits plans and employment laws affecting benefits.
• Data gathering and analytical review of information for benefit design.

Responsibilities

• Manage the firm’s retiree health plan enrollment, billing, and related activities.
• Administer COBRA program with third-party administrator.
• Administer transit and parking benefit programs including enrollment and payroll coordination.
• Process HSA and FSA transfers and related reporting.
• Provide guidance and counseling on benefit programs to employees.
