Job summary

Champlain Valley Educational Services (CEWW BOCES) seeks a Benefits Specialist for the Benefits Consortium Office in Plattsburgh. This 12-month position works 35 hours per week within the Confidential Employees Salary and Benefit Package.

Immediate opening with a starting salary of 43,500 and comprehensive NYS benefits, including NYSLRS retirement, health insurance with employer contribution, and generous paid time off. 20 holidays, vacation, sick days, personal and bereavement time are included.

Minimum Starting Salary: $43,500

Location: Benefits Consortium Office, CVES Learning Hub Campus, Plattsburgh

Anticipated Start Date: Immediate Opening

Position Information: 12-month position, 240 work-days, 35 hours per week. This position will serve in the Benefits Consortium Office and is part of the Confidential Employees Salary and Benefit Package

Paid Time off: 20 paid holidays, snow days off, 15 vacation days, 18 sick days, 5 personal leave days, 3 family illness days and 3 bereavement days per occurrence

Retirement System: New York State and Local Retirement System (NYSLRS)

Health Insurance: 14% of premiums paid by employee. BOCES pays 86% of premium.

• CEWW health insurance consortium is the same as 15 local school districts.
