Job description

Reporting to the Benefits Manager, the Benefits Coordinator has the primary responsibility of administering Colony Hardware’s employee benefits as well as provides comprehensive knowledge and support to all employees and leaders within the area of benefits. The Basics :

  • Reports to the Benefits Manager
  • Works hours Monday through Friday – 8 : 00am to 4 : 30pm
  • Hybrid work schedule (ability to work from home one day a week) after the first 30 days

In Your Day-to-Day, You Will :

  • Administer various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness initiatives.
  • Serve as liaison between employees and benefits providers, addressing questions and resolving issues.
  • Conduct new hire employee training sessions related to benefits offerings and eligibility r.
  • Maintain employee benefits administration systems and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately
  • Coordinate with payroll to ensure accurate deductions and processing of benefits-related transactions.
  • Audit monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies and maintain statistical data relative to premiums, claims, and costs.
  • Support annual open enrollment (OE) processes, including communications and employee education.Assists with OE meetings and distributing materials.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state and local benefits laws (ACA, FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA,
  • Processes and administers leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork medical disability, FMLA and state leaves (where applicable).
  • Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences / disabilities.
  • Process Workers’ Compensation claims promptly and accurately, manage communication with insurance providers and facilitate return to work plans with managers.
  • Assist with completing benefits reporting requirements.
  • Assists the HR department in carrying out various human resources tasks, programs, and procedures for employees.
  • Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information.

What You’ll Need to Have for success :

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in employee benefits administration
  • 3-5 years of experience in benefits administration applications and HRIS software (ADP Workforce Now a plus)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with solid knowledge of Excel
