Job summary

State of Vermont is seeking a Benefits Programs Administrator to join the Food & Nutrition Team. The role supports multiple program managers and directors in a fast-paced environment and collaborates with state and federal partners on SNAP and related programs.

The incumbent must pass background checks and meet hiring standards; duties may involve travel and hearings. This is a State employee opportunity open to external applicants as well.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 4+ years of professional work including supervisory duties.
• Master's degree with 2+ years of supervisory duties in human services, education, or program management.
• Associate degree plus 6+ years of professional experience including supervisory duties.
• Eight+ years of professional experience with 2+ years in supervisory roles.

Responsibilities

• Duties are performed largely in a standard office setting with meetings and deadlines.
• Travel may be required; may testify at fair hearings, court cases, or before legislative committees.
