Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking an Enhanced Benefits Coordinator for Columbia County Medical Center Hospital. The role focuses on prior authorizations for medical and pharmacy benefits, with front-line patient contact and coordination across providers, nurses, and pharmacies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year Pharmacy Technician or enhanced benefits in a medical office.
• Minimum 2 years Pharmacy Technician role or enhanced benefits in a medical office/center, Pharmacy preferred
• Experience with prior authorizations, insurance, claim adjudication and appeals.

Responsibilities

• Screen, process, and complete prior authorization through medical and pharmacy benefits.
• Follow-up with patients, providers, and plans on refills and reauthorizations.
• Coordinate infusion/injection appointments through AU Health IT platforms.
• Coordinate with Pharmacy Department for coordination of services and quality assurance.
