Job summary

Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corporation in Hauppauge, NY is seeking a Benefits Administrator to oversee health and welfare plans, leave programs, and related HR operations support. You will process enrollments, changes, and terminations; support open enrollment; respond to employee questions; coordinate with vendors and payroll; and maintain accurate records in Workday or similar systems.

Candidates need at least 3 years of benefits experience, an associate degree, strong Excel/Office

Qualifications

• Associate degree in HR, business or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of benefits administration, leave administration, HR operations, or related HR support.
• Experience with health and welfare benefits, open enrollment, and leave administration.
• Experience using HRIS/HRMS systems (Workday or similar).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Administer health and welfare benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, FSAs, HSAs, and other programs.
• Process benefit enrollments, changes, terminations, and qualifying life events.
• Support annual open enrollment activities, including system updates and communications.
• Respond to employee questions regarding eligibility, coverage, deductions, claims, and events.
• Coordinate with benefits vendors, carriers, brokers, payroll, and HR team members.
• Manage leave of absence administration and related processes.
• Maintain accurate benefits and leave records in HR systems.
• Assist with benefits invoice review, reconciliation and reporting.
• Support compliance activities related to benefits and leave administration.
