Base pay range

$80,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr

Compensation for full-time employees includes a 403(b) plan with up to a 10% match of salary and other benefits such as health & dental insurance, commuter benefits, long-term disability insurance, and more.

Reports to: Director of Human Resources

Job Summary

BB&N is hiring a Benefits, Employee Leave, and HRIS Specialist responsible for managing employee benefits, educating employees about benefits and leaves (such as FMLA and PFML), and serving as the HRIS system expert. The role involves handling sensitive information discreetly and maintaining an active presence across campuses.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with a basic understanding of benefits administration within HR.

Skills And Competencies

The candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in employee benefits, leave, and HRIS systems, preferably ADP. A Bachelor's degree is preferred. Essential skills include:

  • Expertise in HRIS systems
  • Proficiency in Google Suite or Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Discretion with confidential information
Essential Functions And Key Objectives
  • Manage employee benefit enrollments and open enrollment processes
  • Administer COBRA and benefits renewal processes
  • Create and manage health and wellness programs
  • Reconcile benefit invoices and manage benefits information postings
  • Serve as the point of contact for the 403(b) retirement plan and on the Retirement Plan Committee
  • Manage employee leave programs and communicate with relevant parties
  • Oversee workers' compensation and participate in safety initiatives
  • Maintain HRIS system updates and support
  • Manage personnel files and employment verification requests
  • Handle unemployment claims and other special projects
