A healthcare provider in California seeks a professional to serve as the primary contact for community inquiries regarding benefits and financial estimates. Responsibilities include creating estimates for outpatient services, handling insurance questions, and maintaining communication with patients and staff. Ideal candidates have strong knowledge of insurance benefits and proficiency in Microsoft Access.
Bargaining Unit: EA
Rate of Pay: $30.64/hour + DOE
Summary
Serves as the primary point of contact for the community calling the District for a questions about benefits and estimate requests. Answers calls from the hospital’s main telephone numbers and calls routed from the physician offices and departments for scheduling. Identifies self-pay patients and generates estimates for primary care visits and specialist consults, diagnostic imaging and other hospital or clinic related series as assigned. Identifies out of network coverage and generates estimates for primary care visits and specialist consults, diagnostic imaging and other hospital or clinic related series as assigned.

Minimum Education/Experience
No educational requirement and 6 months to 1 year relevant experience
Required Licenses/Certifications
National Association of Healthcare Access (NAHAM): Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) - Within 6 months of hire into job
