Job summary

Qualifications

• At least two years of full-time or equivalent experience in social work or related fields.
• Active listening, information ordering, comprehension, expression are required.
• Written comprehension and expression must be demonstrated.
• Ability to evaluate information against standards and identify problems.

Responsibilities

• Interview applicants for benefits and assist with eligibility forms and verifications.
• Evaluate documents to determine initial and continued eligibility for MassHealth programs.
• Contact applicants for missing information and verify immigrant status when needed.
• Review demographic, financial, and background data for eligibility updates and corrections.
• Explain eligibility requirements and appeal rights to customers; represent the agency at hearings.
