Parker’s Kitchen in Savannah, GA is seeking a Benefits Coordinator to administer employee benefits, enroll new hires, and respond to benefits questions. You will manage open enrollment and coordinate with providers to resolve issues while ensuring compliance with ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA.

The role supports leave programs and helps with benefits communications and HRIS data integrity. The position is on-site at our Savannah headquarters, with occasional travel to store locations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee benefit inquiries related to medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), and other company-sponsored benefits.
  • Manage the new hire enrollment, qualifying life events, and annual open enrollment processes, ensuring employees receive accurate information and complete necessary actions on time.
  • Partner with benefits providers and third-party administrators to resolve employee issues and ensure service quality.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of benefits plans and compliance requirements (e.g., ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA) and support audits and reporting.
  • Support leave of absence programs (FMLA, STD, LTD, personal leave), coordinating with third-party vendors and managers to ensure timely communication and tracking.
  • Assist in the development and rollout of employee communications related to benefits, wellness programs, and process updates.
  • Partner with payroll and HRIS teams to ensure accurate deductions, eligibility tracking, leave payments, and data integrity.
  • Participate in benefits-related projects and support the implementation of new programs or vendors.
  • Maintain employee records in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Tracking, maintenance, and facilitation of employee recognition programs; including birthday, anniversary, and quarterly awards and assisting in employee recognition event planning.
  • Benefits administration including new hire enrollment and communications, benefit invoicing, and first level assistance with benefit questions and concerns and basic benefit programs.
  • Assist recruiting and training teams with new hires including hiring events and support center orientations.
  • Assist HR Admin team in general HR inquiries and communicate concerns to appropriate HR departments when necessary.

The Benefits Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day administration of employee benefits. This role supports our team members by ensuring accurate benefits enrollment, addressing questions and concerns, managing vendor relationships, administering leaves and accommodations, and assisting with compliance. The Benefits Coordinator plays a key role in promoting benefit programs that attract, retain, and support our employees in both corporate and field-based roles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in benefit administration.
  • Working knowledge of employee benefit plans and relevant regulations (ACA, COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to explain benefits to employees at all levels across the organization in a clear, approachable manner.
  • High attention to detail and organization with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms; experience with UKG Pro a plus.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Occasional travel to store locations throughout Georgia and South Carolina.
  • Must be able to work on-site at our headquarters located in Savannah, GA.
Preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Benefits administration experience in a multi-unit retail or hospitality environment is preferred.
  • Experience with UKG Pro HRIS is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Prolonged periods sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
