Job summary

Towne Insurance is hiring a Benefits Consultant to join our North Carolina team. This sales-focused role requires advanced communication and negotiation skills with deep knowledge of group health and life products.

You will cultivate referral sources, manage a leads pipeline, prepare quotes and proposals, and renew enrollments with the account management team. Licensure is required or obtainable within six months of hire.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to foster client relationships with carriers and team members.
• Strong verbal and written communication with ability to explain complex insurance concepts clearly.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate multiple referral sources and maintain a pipeline of leads.
• Generate new sales through needs-based analysis and consultative approach.
• Work with Account Manager to obtain carrier quotes, prepare proposals, plan materials, and renew enrollments.
• Present proposals to clients and conduct enrollment meetings with the team.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, regulations, and technology.
• Call on clients regularly to build relationships and retain business.
• Oversee and manage team members and provide training opportunities.
