Job summary

Alliant Insurance Services is seeking a renewal-focused professional to join our account team in San Diego. You will process renewals, analyze marketing options, and prepare financial summaries to support client strategies.

The role requires collaboration with carriers and vendors, presenting results to the team, and ensuring accurate documentation. A bachelor’s degree and an active or soon-to-be insurance license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid insurance license (or must be obtained within 90 days of employment).
• Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal.

Responsibilities

• Gathers, reviews and validates information related to assigned clients for renewal analysis and marketing purposes, gaining familiarity with client details and history.
• Coordinates with account team to understand renewal strategy and define roles.
• Revisits during renewal development process.
• Clarifies renewal project action items and deadlines.
• Collaborates with carriers and vendors to obtain preliminary or firm renewals and prepares financial summaries and benefit highlights.
• Presents renewal summaries to determine plan options and marketing strategy.
• Executes plan option requests, marketing projects and analysis to meet objectives.
• Reviews marketing results and plan options for accuracy and revisions.
• Presents final results to account team and develops renewal presentation materials.
• Updates financial summaries and comparisons with final negotiation results.
• Completes renewal closure duties and final sold documentation.
• Handles ongoing client maintenance projects as determined by the team.

SUMMARY

Responsible for working with account team in processing renewals, conducting and analyzing marketing, preparing financial summaries and providing general technical support for assigned accounts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Gathers, reviews and validates all information related to assigned clients for renewal analysis and marketing purposes, gaining comprehensive familiarity with client's current details and history;
• Coordinates with account team to understand strategy for client renewal and define roles and responsibilities.
• Revisits as needed throughout the renewal development process.
• Understands and clarifies clear outline of renewal project action items, including all deadlines;
• Collaborates with all current insurance carriers and vendors to obtain preliminary and/or firm renewals and prepares initial financial summary and benefit highlights;
• Presents preliminary renewal summaries to account team to determine plan options and/or marketing strategy;
• Executes all relevant plan option requests, marketing projects and necessary analysis to complete account strategy objectives;
• Reviews all marketing and plan option responses, evaluates for accuracy and completeness, and requests clarifications and revisions as needed;
• Presents all marketing results and plan options to account team (spreads), works with account team to develop negotiation strategy, and executes negotiation strategy;
• Updates financial summary and benefit highlight comparisons with all final negotiation results;
• Presents all final results to account team; determines content and structure of renewal presentation and identifies additional analytical support materials (i.e.; utilization review, contribution strategy, benchmarking, financial reporting, etc.);
• Completes all additional assigned work projects for renewal presentation;
• Completes all final sold documentation and communication (internal client files, confirmations to carriers, agency management system, etc.) and other renewal closure duties as required;
• Handles ongoing (monthly/quarterly) client maintenance projects as determined by account team;
• Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information);
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Related work experience preferred
• Valid insurance license (or must be obtained within 90 days of employment)
• Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal
