Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Benefits Analyst to administer comprehensive health and welfare programs, counsel employees on options, and support open enrollment and vendor partnerships. Responsibilities

• Administer health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, FSA, life, disability).
• Counsel employees on plan options, eligibility, life events, and coverage questions by email/phone/in person.
• Support annual open enrollment, including communications, system setup, employee questions, and vendor coordination.
• Partner with carriers and vendors on eligibility, claims issues, billing, and plan administration.
• Liaise with HRBP, Payroll, Legal and other stakeholders on benefits matters.
• Ensure benefits programs comply with federal/state/local requirements.
• Identify, recommend and implement benefits process improvements.
• Support wellness and related employee benefit programs.
• Other duties as assigned.

BENEFITS ANALYST

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Administer health and welfare benefits, including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, life, and disability
• Counsel employees on plan options, eligibility, life events, and coverage questions by email, phone, walk-ups, and drop-in sessions
• Support annual open enrollment, including communications, system setup, employee questions, and vendor coordination
• Partner with carriers and vendors on eligibility, claims issues, billing, and plan administration
• Serve as liaison with HR Business Partners, Payroll, Legal, and other stakeholders on benefits matters
• Ensure benefits programs remain compliant with applicable federal, state, and local requirements
• Identify, recommend, and implement benefits process and program improvements
• Support wellness and related employee benefit programs
• Other duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2+ years of human resources experience in a generalist or benefits background

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Benefits or human resources certification (CEBS, PHR, etc.)
• Experience with benefits platforms such as Workday or UGK
• Ability to use independent judgment and prioritize work
• Experience thriving in a fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Highly collaborative, with a strong team orientation
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple high priorities in a loosely structured environment
• Bilingual in Spanish and English

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• This is not a remote or hybrid position and will require relocation if not already local to the Hawthorne, CA area
• Position occasionally requires the ability to work extended hours or weekends when needed
• Ability to travel to other SpaceX offices as needed

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range:

• Level 1: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00
• Level 2: $100,000.00 - $135,000.00

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
