Job Description:

As part of our team, you will generate new business by developing relationships with broker partners. The Account Service Division (ASD) at BenefitMall partners with brokers to manage existing books of business. The ideal candidate will have established selling relationships with large insurance brokers. To succeed, candidates must have strong multitasking and organizational skills, excellent communication skills, the ability to collaborate well in a team environment, enjoy relationship building, and be adaptable to change in a fast-growing organization.

This is a remote position; however, candidates must be licensed and currently reside in the greater New York/New Jersey area. Our teams collaborate using video and screen sharing technology, providing a team environment while working from home.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive increased sales and company growth by developing positive relationships with agents/brokers.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the company’s products and processes, and how agents/brokers interact with them.
  • Stay informed on industry markets, products, and legal environments to provide value-added services.
  • Work with Implementation to onboard transitions from agents/brokers and encourage client business with the company.
  • Conduct regular follow-up and prospecting calls to agents/brokers, both in-office and on-site.
  • Resolve escalated issues, conflicts, and provide feedback to management.
  • Participate in team meetings, contributing to overall success.
  • Stay updated on benefit plan design and regulatory issues.
  • Occasional long hours and frequent travel may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Life/Health Agent’s License required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, with at least three years’ experience in insurance/employee benefits sales.
  • Deep knowledge of group insurance products, preferably from sales or marketing roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Chrome.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to interpret complex documents and provide excellent customer service.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to escalate issues when necessary.
  • Ability to work in a team and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

The annual base salary ranges from $80,000 to $90,000, with additional incentive pay.

Benefits: Eligible employees working 20+ hours/week may receive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, savings accounts, and a 401k plan.
