Benefits Specialist is responsible for hands‑on, day‑to‑day administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life & disability as well as Defined Contribution 403(b) and 401(k), 457(b) and 457 (f) and Defined Benefit Pension Plans system wide. Ensures all benefit plan activities are completed timely and in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Acts as a liaison for employees and plan vendors as it relates to system-wide benefits and retirement programs to ensure the overall success of the Benefits Department by contributing and monitoring specific individual goals, plans, ensuring that initiatives are executed and delivered.
