The State of Missouri's Family Support Division seeks a Benefit Program Technician in the St. Louis City Customer Service Center at 3101 Chouteau St. Louis, MO.

You will help Missouri citizens receive food, medical, financial and nutritional assistance and determine initial and continuing eligibility for these services. You will interview clients in person and by telephone, prepare summaries and related records while upholding compassionate, non-judgmental service.

Job description

The Family Support Division is seeking applications for a Benefit Program Technician. This position will be in the St. Louis City Customer Service Center based at 3101 Chouteau St. Louis, MO.

As our Benefit Program Technician you will help Missouri citizens to receive food, medical, financial and nutritional assistance so they can live safe, healthy and productive lives.

Every day you will determine initial and continuing eligibility of Missouri citizens for these services, interview clients in person and by telephone, prepare summaries and much more.

In order to succeed in this role, you must have a High School diploma or equivalent and at least four years of customer service experience OR have a Bachelor’s Degree.

To thrive in this role, you must be personable, compassionate and have a non-judgmental attitude.

Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.

Individual(s) selected for this position may receive a higher rate based on a pay differential (e.g. shift, or time-of-service pay).
