The State of Missouri’s Family Support Division seeks a Benefit Program Technician to serve at the Oregon County Customer Service Center in Alton, MO. You will help Missourians access food, medical, financial, and nutritional assistance and determine eligibility.

You will interview clients in person and by telephone, prepare summaries, and perform related duties to support safe and healthy, productive lives. A HS diploma or GED is required, with 4 years of customer service or a Bachelor’s degree.

The Family Support Division is seeking applications for a Benefit Program Technician. This position will be in the Oregon County Customer Service Center based at 13985 MO 19 Alton, MO.

As our Benefit Program Technician you will help Missouri citizens to receive food, medical, financial and nutritional assistance so they can live safe, healthy and productive lives.

Every day you will determine initial and continuing eligibility of Missouri citizens for these services, interview clients in person and by telephone, prepare summaries and much more.

In order to succeed in this role, you must have a High School diploma or equivalent and at least four years of customer service experience OR have a Bachelor’s Degree.

To thrive in this role, you must be personable, compassionate and have a non-judgmental attitude.

Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.

Individual(s) selected for this position may receive a higher rate based on a pay differential (e.g. shift, or time-of-service pay).
