The individual in this role will serve as a SNAP/TANF Eligibility Supervisor in the Hinds County MDHS office reporting directly to the Hinds County Office Director. This individual will be responsible for ensuring his/her direct reports are knowledgeable of, and adhering to, federal, state, and agency policies and regulations during the initial and recertification eligibility processes. The individual will also have weekly and monthly reporting responsibilities. Annual salary is based on a candidate's experience in determining SNAP and/or TANF eligibility.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, good customer service skills, and an ability to balance a large workload while managing others is also required.
Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years of experience. Agency preferred qualifications:A minimum of 2 years' experience in determining SNAP and/or TANF eligibility and a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience is required.
