Job summary

WEX Inc. is seeking an Operations Specialist, Benefits to manage the lifecycle of multiple benefit plans, including HSA, HRA, FSA and commuter plans. You will create, maintain, and close plans, process enrollment data, and ensure accurate employer configurations.

The role requires in-depth knowledge of benefits products and systems, adherence to security policies, and collaboration with internal teams to resolve issues and improve service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Experience administering benefit plans (HSA, HRA, FSA, commuter) and related enrollments.
  • Ability to process demographic, enrollment and contribution files accurately.
  • Strong understanding of products, systems, files and security policies.

Responsibilities

  • Create, update and maintain participant plans and balances.
  • Process employer configurations and plan closings.
  • Resolve account discrepancies and respond to tier 3 escalations.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development.
  • Assist with special projects and ongoing process improvements.

Job description

The Operations Specialist, Benefits is responsible for the lifecycle of various benefit plans, including Flexible Benefits, Health Reimbursement Arrangements, Health Savings Accounts, and Commuter Plans. This encompasses their creation, ongoing maintenance, and eventual closure. The role also includes consumer forms and processing file data relevant to employer configurations and plans.

A strong understanding of the products, systems, files, and technical aspects is essential for success in this position. Must adhere to security policies Maintain detailed knowledge in function area(s) related to Benefits Serve as an internal resource, troubleshoot questions and provide issue resolution using product, file and system knowledge Serve as a knowledgeable contact for internal departments Communicate with other teams, employers and partners to resolve account discrepancies Responsible for solving cases and resolving tier 3 escalations Create, update and maintain participant plans and balances Update and maintain employer account balances Create, update and maintain employer plans and closings Process demographic, enrollment and contribution files Facilitate peer training when requested Identify trends to improve plan administration experience Ensure requests made by internal and external departments are resolved in a timely manner Attend regularly scheduled one on one meetings with direct leader for professional development and goal setting Work with your team, other departments to ensure a positive customer experience Create efficiencies and improve processes for employers, consultants and third-party vendors Maintain a continuous improvement approach to work Participate in ongoing learning, development opportunities and sharing of knowledge Maintain attendance and punctuality standards Maintain expected quality and performance metrics Must participate in team meetings and one on ones via video and phone Assist with special projects

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.

Pay Range: $17.00 - $22.50
