An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Mammography Technologist to join their team. This role involves performing radiographic procedures with a focus on quality control and assurance, ensuring compliance with ACR and FDA standards. The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree in radiological procedures and experience in mammography. You will be responsible for applying your technical skills and initiative to deliver accurate radiological diagnoses. Purpose & Scope:
Performs radiographic procedures at a technical level, not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of views that will require ingenuity and initiative in applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities required by the ACR and the FDA to maintain certification in the area of Mammography.
Education:
Associates degree in radiological procedure is preferred.
Experience:
Two years of experience in mammography is preferred.
Certification/Licensure:
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) required.
ARRT(M) is required
ARRT (BS) is to be obtained within 18 months.
