Summary

The purpose of this job is to set up machines to maintain parts according to customer specifications and meet production efficiencies by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Bender maintenance and tooling upkeep
  • Set-up and update control panel
  • Train team members
  • Understand measurement equipment
  • Understand blueprints and product prints
  • Prepares parts for sawing, bending, cutoff, and deburring to appropriate length and dimension.
  • Visually inspect and prepare incoming materials.
  • Sets up and controls saw, tube benders, and hole punch equipment to include proper setup of part and tooling.
  • Cleans and maintains fabrication area and equipment.
  • Records production data on specified forms.
  • Performs visual inspection and measurement of parts in preparation for plating.
  • Follows established safety procedures and work instructions.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
  • Perform pipe cleaning.
  • Could potentially come in contact with hazardous chemicals.
  • Proper disposal of waste such as recyclables, standard waste, hazardous waste, etc. is expected.
  • Any other tasks as required fulfilling Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Communication Skills
  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend English to communicate well with vendors, internal suppliers, and interpret invoices.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Physical Requirements
  • High labor intensive category – must perform physical functions equivalent to Category A.
  • Regular exposure to uncomfortable conditions.
  • Personal protective equipment required.
  • Frequent indoor work; outdoor work; machine interfacing; computer interfacing; hot weather; cold weather; high humidity; electrical hazards; dirty; dusty; steam; fumes/vapor; noisy; chemical exposure; toxic chemicals; fire hazards; potential confined work space; awkward or minimized workspace.
  • Walking, stooping, bending, sitting, typing, balancing, reaching, continuous standing, climbing (catwalk, steps, ladders).
  • Carrying < 50 lbs; lifting < 100 lbs; pushing < 100 lbs; pulling < 100 lbs; gripping; twisting; turning; pinching; vibration; squatting.
