Job summary

Pfizer is seeking a highly motivated Bench Scientist to join the Molecular Profiling & Bioconjugation group in their BioMedicine Design sector. The Bench Scientist will work hands-on to develop innovative protein biotherapeutics and contribute to the conjugation chemistry team.

The role focuses on generating and analyzing bioconjugates, documenting results, and presenting data using PowerPoint and Excel. This is an onsite position in Cambridge, MA with a 40-hour workweek.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical biology, or related discipline.
• 0-2 years of research experience.
• Hands-on experience with standard lab techniques and basic protein handling.
• Familiarity with bioconjugation reactions and analytical/purification methods such as chromatography and mass spectrometry.
• Fast learner, detail-oriented, highly organized; able to plan/complete experiments with limited supervision after training.
• Ability to clearly communicate experiment results.
• Experience using PowerPoint and Excel for data presentation and reporting.

The Bench Scientist will work with a talented team to develop innovative protein biotherapeutics to bring curative treatments to patients. The candidate will be a key member of the conjugation chemistry team, responsible for the hands-on execution of bioconjugation experiments.

Responsibilities:

• Generate, purify, and characterize bioconjugates
• Utilize analytical and purification methods, including chromatography and mass spectrometry, to assess bioconjugate quality
• Document and communicate experimental results clearly and effectively to team members and stakeholders

In addition, this role will be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements.
