Pay Range:

$21.75 - $34.05

Summary

Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Manages the day-to-day operation of the meat department, including fresh meat, deli, frozen, and custom cut departments (where applicable), to achieve financial goals, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with policies. Ensures excellent customer relations by offering friendly service and high-quality products to promote sales.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Provide consistent, friendly, and helpful customer service.
  2. Handle and merchandise all meat products according to company policy.
  3. Display comprehensive knowledge of all meat products to customers.
  4. Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation following 5S standards.
  5. Achieve budgeted financial targets for the Meat Department, including sales, gross profit, shrink, inventory, and payroll.
  6. Manage daily operations, including scheduling, training, and administrative tasks.
  7. Order meat products and control inventory effectively.
  8. Cut meat using knives, saws, cubers, slicers, and grinders, adhering to safety standards.
  9. Oversee all Meat Department staff and ensure policy compliance; train staff accordingly.
  10. Maintain all corporate assets and ensure proper sanitation and temperature controls as per regulations.
  11. Keep accurate logs for grind and meat products.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned by management, adhering to company policies.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to manage others and follow through to achieve goals.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of related experience.
  • Strong communication skills and basic computer skills.
  • Performance reviews reflecting satisfactory performance.
