Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Manages the day-to-day operation of the meat department, including the fresh meat case, deli, frozen case, and custom cut department (where applicable), to achieve financial results, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with policies. Maintains excellent customer relations through friendly service and a courteous attitude, offering high-quality, fresh products to promote sales.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Provide exceptional customer service consistently.
  2. Handle and merchandise all meat products according to company policies.
  3. Display expert knowledge of meat products to customers.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized workstation following 5S standards.
  5. Achieve budgeted financial targets for sales, profit, shrink, inventory, and payroll.
  6. Manage daily operations, including scheduling and training staff.
  7. Order meat products and control inventory effectively.
  8. Perform meat cutting using knives, saws, cubers, slicers, and grinders, adhering to safety standards.
  9. Train and supervise meat department associates, ensuring policy adherence.
  10. Maintain all assets and ensure compliance with sanitation and temperature guidelines.
  11. Control shrink and perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to manage others and follow through to achieve results.
Education and Experience
  • High School Degree or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of related experience.
  • Strong communication skills and basic computer skills.
