Job summary

Springer’s Jewelers in Portland, ME seeks a skilled Bench Jeweler to support our Service Department with repairs, restoration, stone setting, and finishing. You will work closely with service coordinators, sales professionals, and fellow jewelers to deliver precise work that meets our craftsmanship standards.

You’ll perform sizing, soldering, prong repairs, refinishing, and related bench tasks on gold, platinum, silver, and palladium, while maintaining a clean, safe bench and communicating

Qualifications

• Experience as a Bench Jeweler or within a jewelry repair/manufacturing environment.
• Strong craftsmanship skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with jewelry repair techniques and stone setting preferred.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
• Strong organizational skills and commitment to quality workmanship.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Formal jewelry training or industry certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform jewelry repair, restoration, cleaning, polishing, and inspection services.
• Execute sizing, soldering, stone setting, prong repair, refinishing, and related bench work.
• Work with a variety of metals and materials, including gold, platinum, silver, and palladium.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality, durability, and accuracy.
