Taylor Custom Rings in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a skilled Goldsmith/Bench Jeweler to join our atelier. You will finish raw castings, resize and repair rings, and perform precise stone setting with bezel work, ensuring client-ready pieces of the highest quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in goldsmithing or bench jeweler work.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Experience with stone setting, bezels.

Responsibilities

• Finish raw castings from casting to finished client-ready pieces, including cleaning, sizing, stone setting and quality checks.
• Repair and maintenance: resize and repair rings and jewelry, inspect, clean and polish pieces.
• Set diamonds and gemstones securely, handling bezel-set designs with care.
• Collaborate with fulfillment and quality control teams to ensure design integrity and efficient job flow.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop.
• Schedule: Full-time, primarily Monday through Friday with weekends off.

We’re searching for a passionate Goldsmith to join our atelier—a detail-oriented and collaborative artisan who sees beauty in precision and takes pride in high quality pieces.

What You’ll Do:

• Finish raw castings - Take the casting through every stage of transformation until it is a finished, client-ready piece. This includes cleaning, sizing, stone setting, and quality control checks with our team to ensure every detail meets the highest standards of quality.
• Repair and maintenance - Resize and repair rings and jewelry in addition to inspecting, cleaning, and polishing pieces during routine maintenance. Occasionally perform routine repair work on jewelry we didn’t create.
• Stone setting - Set diamonds and gemstones securely. Please note that many of our designs feature bezel set stones which requires particular skill to set securely leaving the bezel clean and even.
• Team collaboration - Meet regularly with our fulfillment and quality control team to share feedback regarding designs, structural integrity of pieces, and coordinate efficient job flow.
• Organization and attention to detail - Ensure exceptional finish quality and structural integrity of all pieces by their specified due dates. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop.
• Great work schedule - Full time work primarily Monday through Friday with most weekends off. Collaborate with our team to arrange for time off when needed.

Schedule, Compensation & Benefits

• $70,000 - $115,000 depending on experience
• Monday - Friday 40 hours 8:30-5:00
