The Opportunity

Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Precision Assembler to join our team on nights. Working within a team environment, the Assembler will read and interpret blueprints or diagrams, precisely assemble mechanical components, conduct quality checks, maintain assembly tools and equipment, and document assembly processes and outcomes.

Additionally, the Assembler will:

  • Use hand tools, standard measuring equipment, and gauges to assemble small components following provided instructions.
  • Operate basic machining, grinding, and polishing equipment.
  • Use precise cleaning processes to clean, deburr, and polish parts.
  • Visually inspect parts for burrs or damages.
  • Maintain proper identification of parts according to planning specifications and keep accurate records.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized following standards.
  • Work towards team goals and improve part quality by reducing scrap and increasing throughput.
  • Follow safety rules, manufacturing procedures, and company policies, maintaining a 6S work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 1-2 years of experience in bench assembly, turning, grinding, roller matched set sorting, or polishing
  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Availability to work nights M-F from 9:30 PM - 6:00 AM (training on day shift); occasional overtime may be required
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, push/pull 60 pounds, grip with at least 50 pounds of force, and reach above shoulder height
  • U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance if necessary
