Job Summary:

As the Bench Executive Chef, you will support kitchen operations in NC and GA, ensuring a safe and sanitary work environment. You will oversee meal preparation according to corporate standards. This role is ideal for an energetic culinary professional residing in Charlotte or Atlanta, offering a salary of $70,000 - $85,000, full benefits, growth potential, and a balanced schedule with few late nights and alternating weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan menus in accordance with established guidelines
  • Support Morrison accounts in NC and GA
  • Follow standardized recipes, portioning, and presentation standards; complete daily production worksheets and waste logs; taste meals for quality assurance
  • Train kitchen staff in food preparation, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and work areas
  • Manage inventory within guidelines, ensuring availability of necessary supplies
  • Decide on leftover food utilization within company policies
  • Comply with health and sanitation regulations, passing audits
  • Follow safety policies, report incidents, and participate in staff development activities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A.S. degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of progressive culinary and kitchen management experience
  • Extensive catering experience a plus
  • Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations
  • Institutional and batch cooking expertise
  • Hands-on chef experience required
  • Knowledge of food and catering trends, sanitation, food costs, and presentation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, email, and internet
  • Willingness to participate in client satisfaction activities
  • ServSafe certification preferred
