Summary
Ensures that fast, friendly, efficient customer service and courtesy are provided on the Front End and Customer Service areas of the store. Responsible for overseeing the Front End operation, including the customer service desk, register checkouts, vestibule, parking lot/sidewalk, break-rooms, bathrooms, and bottle return areas. Ensures adherence to all Front End and Office policies and procedures. Assists the Store Manager with budgeting and financial goals for the Front End, including payroll, wrap, over/shorts, cashier training, and miscellaneous office incomes. Ensures compliance with corporate dress code in the Front End and Customer Service areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure each associate provides the highest level of fast, friendly, and efficient customer service, according to 5S standards, at all times.
- Ensure each associate asks each customer for an AdvantEdge Card.
- Ensure each associate greets and acknowledges customers at the beginning and end of each transaction with a smile.
- Educate associates on shrink-related items and control measures.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation according to 5S standards.
- Provide proper training, scheduling, and supervision of all Front End, Office, Customer Service, and Bottle associates for excellent customer service.
- Provide a safe environment for associates and customers at all times.
- Ensure all Front End, Customer Service, Back Office, and Bottle customer courtesy and service standards are met through proper training and scheduling.
- Follow policies and procedures regarding systems (e.g., FDS, X-CPS).
- Ensure all associates follow the company dress code.
- Follow controls and procedures for cash and other assets.
- Train and evaluate Front End associates properly, including buddy training, CBT scores, evaluations, coaching, and counseling.
- Record and address pricing errors promptly.
- Order Front End supplies and maintain inventory controls to meet requirements and control expenses.
- Meet or exceed financial goals for the Front End, Office, and Bottle departments in areas like CTO, cashier training, and miscellaneous income.
- Maintain sanitation standards in the Front End, Bottle, Customer Service, and Office areas, including restrooms.
- Ensure associates work within company efficiency standards and adhere to mission statements.
- Implement and communicate company programs to all Front End associates.
- Support the Customer Service area in problem resolution.
- Manage Front End Supervisors and Office Supervisors to ensure adequate job knowledge and staffing.
- Perform other duties as assigned, adhering to all company policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 18 years old.
- Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve results.
- Strong communication skills.
- Basic literacy and computer skills.
- Satisfactory performance reviews.
Education and Experience
High School Degree or equivalent; 3+ years of related experience.
