Job summary

AMMEGA is seeking a Conveyor Belt Technician in Franklin Park, Illinois. In this role, you will be responsible for the fabrication and installation of conveyor belts and related industrial products within a world-class team environment.

This position involves processing orders, operating light industrial equipment, and maintaining the shipping/receiving department. Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma, valid driver’s license, and a strong team spirit, as well as the ability to lift heavy materials and work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Previous industrial or production experience preferred.
• Ability to work occasional nights and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Process orders in a safe and efficient manner.
• Communicate with supervisors about production issues.
• Ensure timely shipping and receiving of products.
• Maintain shipping/receiving department supplies.
• Provide on-call assistance as required.

As a Conveyor Belt Technician, you will be responsible for the fabrication and installation of conveyor belts and related industrial products.

Responsibilities

• A day in the life of a Conveyor Belt Technician can look like processing orders in a safe and efficient manner and operating light industrial equipment.
• Communicating with supervisor regarding assigned orders, scheduling, and other production issues.
• Ensuring timely shipping of belting product; receiving shipments in a timely manner and ensuring delivery to correct recipient.
• Maintaining shipping/receiving department with needed supplies.
• Processing and maintaining reports.
• Providing on-call assistance as required.
• Recognizing appropriate inventory usage and report low levels to supervisor, maintaining cycle counts log, and participating in once-a-year inventory.

Qualifications

• A High School diploma.
• A valid driver's license.
• Flexibility around scheduling – ability to work occasional nights and/or weekend coverage.
• Previous industrial or production experience.
• Strong fundamental math skills.
• Ability to regularly lift heavy weight materials (75+ pounds on average).
• Ability to regularly bend, stoop, rotate arms and upper body; ability to frequently push, pull, sit, stand, and reach. Some climbing is required.
