Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies is hiring a Belt Technician to fabricate and repair belts and rubber components in shop and at customer sites.

You will travel nationally with a team to perform conveyor installs and repairs, pick up and deliver orders, and maintain safety standards while using proper tools and equipment. A valid driver’s license is required, with overtime and weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

• Mechanical background and experience working with equipment or vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights or in tight spaces.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends when required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Experience handling belts or rubber components is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install and vulcanize conveyor belting in shop and on customer sites.
• Pick up and deliver orders; stock and supply materials as needed.
• Travel nationally with a team of technicians for installs and repairs.
• Work safely and use tools properly to protect yourself and others.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

What you\'ll do

As a Belt Technician at Applied Industrial Technologies, you\'ll help our customers by fabricating and repairing a variety of belts and rubber components both in the shop and onsite. Some more details about what you will be doing includes the following:

• Install and vulcanize conveyor belting.


• Pick up and deliver orders, stock and supplies.


• Travel nationally with a team of trained technicians to perform conveyor installs and repairs at customer locations.


• Work in a manner that ensures the safety of everyone involved. Exercise proper care in the use of tools and equipment.


• Other duties as assigned by managers.
