Job description

Description

The Belt/Band Packer must work with many different products to be packaged and labeled per customer order.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Work with various types of abrasives products manufactured throughout the Belt department.
  • Pull from stock to fulfill paper pick order forms.
  • Perform quality control checks, ensuring seams are pressed and edges aren’t frayed.
  • Manually count the correct quantity of items.
  • Select and assemble the appropriate box size for different orders.
  • Input information into the computer system to generate shipping labels.
  • Collaborate with employees and management to ensure proper manufacturing of products.
  • Pull tubes for cutters, verifying diameter, grit, abrasive material, and quantity to fulfill orders.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Additional Skills

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret policies, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, customer order sheets, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and knowledge of ruler measurements and scale weighing.

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs of abrasive materials, stand, bend, and stoop for prolonged periods, perform overhead reaching, and handle dexterity tasks. Use of personal protective equipment is required.

Work Environment

The environment is manufacturing-based, with exposure to dust, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, adhesives, and chemicals. Noise levels are medium. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
