Qualifications

Responsibilities

The Bellperson is responsible for assisting and directing guests upon arrival and departure, including luggage delivery and pickup, providing room and property information. Valet guest vehicles to/from the parking lot.

  • Luggage Management: Pick-up and delivery of guest luggage between guest rooms and vehicles. Keeps the work area and Canyon Ranch vehicles clean and orderly.
  • Valet: Drives guests’ vehicles to and from the Pavilion and the parking lot.
  • Delivery: Delivers incoming packages, faxes, and prescriptions to guest rooms, and performs errands for guests in the local area as directed. Transports outgoing mail and retrieves incoming mail from the Post Office.
Qualifications

Education: High school diploma

Certification/License: Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Experience: 1-2 years previous experience in the same or related field. Must be able to operate a vehicle with standard shift transmission.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must have knowledge of Windows Operating system
  • Must be physically able to lift guest luggage
  • Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Previous experience in a resort setting is preferred
  • Knowledge of the Berkshires is desired
