Job summary

First Student is hiring full-time CDL Bus Drivers to safely transport students in a community-focused role. You will start mornings with pickups and return home in the afternoon, with additional hours for field trips and events.

Training is provided, and drivers enjoy the security of a 40-hour minimum work week with competitive pay. We offer comprehensive benefits, opportunities for advancement across 540+ locations in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.
• Enjoy working with students.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport passengers to and from destinations.
• Supervise boarding and unloading at stops; assist passengers with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, lights, tires, emergency exits).
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
• Obey all traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Communicate with additional staff and dispatch about passenger behavior or delays.
• Demonstrate leadership and customer service skills.
