JOB SUMMARY

As an Abbey Resort associate, you will have the opportunity to be part of an incredible team at an all-service resort situated on the beautiful shores of Geneva Lake. We aim to hire individuals who are ready and committed to exceeding guest expectations by creating lasting memories, maintaining a positive attitude, and providing outstanding service every time.

BASIC FUNCTION

Guest Service Attendants are responsible for transporting guests and assisting with guest needs, especially luggage and valet. They set the mood and tone for guest stays, often answering questions or performing tasks as directed by the front desk staff. GSA's also assist in transporting Exchange Visitors.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must have a current Driver License in good standing.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Meet governmental requirements for operating motor vehicles for passenger transportation.
  • Ability to transport, handle, and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand and work a full shift, walking and standing in various hotel areas.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience/training.
  • At least one year in a customer service role with high guest interaction.
  • Hospitality industry experience preferred.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • No recent legal issues related to DUI/OWI or theft.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Provide exceptional customer service and engage sincerely with guests.
  • Welcome guests, assist with vehicle parking, and monitor valet lot and boat trailer sections.
  • Drive shuttle vans safely and efficiently.
  • Escort guests to check-in and to their rooms, explaining hotel amenities.
  • Work with other attendants to ensure personalized guest experiences.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the entrance area.
  • Deliver rooms and handle luggage.
  • Maintain vehicle fuel and cleanliness.
  • Report accidents, tickets, and log driving times and destinations.
  • Respond to guest inquiries positively and accurately.
  • Handle guest requests and follow hotel policies.
  • Transport Exchange Visitors and assist with mail runs.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS

Interact effectively with diverse backgrounds.

OTHER TASKS

Perform additional duties as assigned. Hours may vary, including holidays and weekends.

ENVIRONMENT

Exposed to outdoor weather, indoor controlled environments, and various surfaces.
