Job summary

The Hotel Hershey, a luxury resort known for refined elegance and signature services, is seeking a Part-Time Team Member for the summer season in Hershey, PA. You will greet guests, assist with luggage, manage valet service, and escort guests to rooms while upholding high hospitality standards.

Seasonal schedule may include evenings, weekends and holidays. Prior customer service experience is helpful; RAMP certification is required after employment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Valid PA driver's license and verified good driving record.
• Post-employment - RAMP Certification

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and assist with luggage upon arrival and departure.
• Provide guests with valet parking and safe transport.
• Receive room key and escort guests to the room assigned.
• Secure guest luggage in check-in room.
• Learn room types, floor plans, and guests' amenities; respond to inquiries professionally.
• Inspect rooms for items left behind.
• Deliver items to guest rooms as requested.
• Attend meetings relating to position.
• Secure guest coats at coat check locations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This position is responsible for providing all Hotel guests with the finest in hospitality and service, exemplifying the warmth and gracious atmosphere of The Hotel Hershey and staff.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

• Greet guests and assist with luggage upon arrival and departure*

• Provide guests with valet parking and safe transport*

• Receive room key and passport from the front desk and escort guests to the room assigned*

• Secure guest luggage in check-in room*

• Learn room types, floor plans, and guests' amenities. Respond to all guest inquiries in a professional, service-oriented manner to promote hotel services and in-house facilities*

• Inspect the room for items left behind*

• Deliver items to guest rooms as requested

• Attend meetings relating to position

• Secure guest coats at coat check locations

• Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Friendly, outgoing, customer service oriented personality. Previous work experience helpful.

• Must meet appearance standards and maintain hospitality standards.

• Ability to communicate in English, both oral and written.

• Demonstrate a working knowledge of all safety and security procedures.

Job Demands:

• This is a seasonal position available for the summer beginning April/May. The working schedule for this position may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to stand, walk, lift and bend for majority of shift. Ability to work in varying temperatures.

• This is a union position and the work schedule will be based on union seniority. Candidates must be able to meet scheduled requirements, which will most likely require evening and weekend hours.
