Description
  1. We are hiring a Bell Captain!

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain lobby, front door, bell stand, and luggage room cleanliness and order.
  • Market the entire hotel when rooming a guest.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of hotel amenities and layout, local attractions, and airport transportation.
  • Read log book daily.
  • Keep up-to-date on in-house groups and functions.
  • Follow all rooming procedures.
  • Issue proper luggage tags, store bags properly, cross-reference when issuing.
  • Maintain vehicle maintenance records properly.
  • Ensure deliveries/luggage are brought to correct rooms.
  • Demonstrate a readiness to help (“Posts up”).
  • Facilitate prompt handling of guest luggage and needs during peak periods.
  • Complete own share of last man duties, such as showing rooms and delivering messages.
  • Assist in the maintenance upkeep of the bell closet and carts.
  • Work systematically to avoid losing luggage.
  • Operate bell carts carefully to prevent damage or injury.
  • Follow rules as outlined in the Concord Hospitality Handbooks.
  • Deliver guest valet laundry promptly.
  • Accurately give directions and information about the immediate and metro areas.
  • Report tips daily.
  • Be a positive thinker and company-driven.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of all emergency procedures.
  • Complete all checklists and responsibilities by the end of each shift.
  • Attend Service Excellence Class and score 80% or higher in observations.
