The Bell Attendant is the first impression at the La Jolla Shores Hotel. This individual must possess strong customer service skills and consistently provide professional, attentive and genuinely friendly service. The Bell Attendant helps ensure overall member and guest satisfaction by solving problems quickly and efficiently. This person must also have the ability to provide concise and accurate directions and protect the properties from entry by unauthorized persons.
The Bell person position is the guests’ initial point of contact and will strongly influence guest impression of the total organization. Prompt and continuous efficient service will contribute to guest comfort and satisfaction.

Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Employees in this position interact daily with guests and other front desk personnel. This position also interacts frequently with engineering, housekeeping and security. This company operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Shifts will generally be rotated unless you were hired for a specific shift, as many as possible to be fair to everyone. At times it may be necessary to move you from your accustomed shift if business or task assignments demand. In addition, it should be understood that business needs determine the number of hours that you work.
