Job description

Job Title: Bell/Door Attendant

The Bell/Door Attendant is responsible for all aspects of lobby service, including greeting guests, luggage assistance, and lobby support through departure. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional guest service skills and thrive in creating a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide a warm welcome to all arriving guests
• Serve as the first and last point of contact, opening and closing lobby doors and bidding farewell to guests
• Execute curbside check-in procedures
• Maintain the lobby and door area in impeccable condition at all times
• Use guest names in all interactions to personalize service
• Be knowledgeable about Pittsburgh attractions, directions, cultural scene, etc.
• Assist guests with luggage and secure luggage storage
• Maintain relationships with limousine and taxi services
• Escort guests to their destinations within the hotel
• Assist front office staff with check-ins and check-outs as needed
• Review daily reports and group resumes to ensure all special requirements are met
• Act as a lobby ambassador, providing thoughtful touches for guests throughout the shift
• Participate in colleague briefings and communication meetings
• Follow all hotel and departmental standards and procedures
• Consistently deliver professional, engaging, and friendly service
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Experience in a luxury property is preferred
• Valid driver’s license required
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize and execute guest requests
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Physical Requirements:

• Constant standing and walking during shifts
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds frequently

Visa Requirements: Must provide proof of valid U.S. work authorization.
