• Interest in mechanics, equipment maintenance, or engines.
• Previous experience on automotive, diesel, lawn equipment, farm equipment, or small engines is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
• Positive work ethic, dependable attendance.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends/holidays.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain golf course maintenance equipment and small engines.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance (oil changes, lubrication, filters, inspections).
• Set up, adjust, and maintain mowing equipment for high-quality playing conditions.
• Assemble new equipment and prepare it for use on the golf course.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, fuel, and mechanical systems under supervision.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and assist with repairs to minimize downtime.
• Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe; maintain maintenance records.

The idealcandidate is mechanically inclined, takes pride in quality workmanship, and enjoys working as part of a team dedicated to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Assists with inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining golf coursemaintenance equipment and small engines
• Performs routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes,lubrication, filter replacements, and equipment inspections
• Helps set up, adjust, and maintain mowing equipment to ensure high-qualityplaying conditions
• Assists in assembling new equipment and preparing it for use on the golfcourse
• Learns to troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, fuel, and mechanical systemsunder the guidance of experienced staff
• Responds to equipment breakdowns and assists with repairs to minimizedowntime
• Keeps the equipment maintenance shop clean, organized, and safe
• Maintains accurate maintenance records and communicates equipment issues withthe team
• Follows all Belfair, Troon, manufacturer, and OSHA safety policies andprocedures
• Works closely with the Golf Course Superintendent, Equipment Manager, andmaintenance staff to support daily operations

Minimum Qualifications

• Interest in mechanics, equipment maintenance, or working with engines
• Previous experience working on automotive, diesel, lawn equipment, farmequipment, or small engines is a plus, but not required
• Strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools or a desire to learn
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and dependable attendance
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weatherconditions
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends andholidays, as operational needs require
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
