Republic Services is seeking a Behind the Wheel Instructor (BTWI) to prepare new drivers for the road with a focus on safety and customer service. The BTWI mentors trainees, provides feedback, and models safe operation of Republic’s waste collection vehicles on-property and on-route.

The role emphasizes hands-on coaching, documentation of progress, and performing driver responsibilities when not training others, with a strong commitment to safety and quality service.

Qualificações

• Two years of experience with Republic Services.
• No crashes or injuries for at least the past two years.
• No disciplinary actions of any kind for the preceding 12 months.

Responsabilidades

• Acclimates new drivers to the physical and environmental demands of the job during Job Shadowing.
• Provide foundational industry knowledge including Republic’s core principles and safety emphasis.
• Instructs and coaches through on-property driving skills and vehicle inspection.
• Teaches learning criteria skills based on line of business and models safe operation of a waste collection vehicle.
• Communicates feedback to the new employee and provides daily progress updates to management.
• Performs driver duties when not training a new driver and completes required paperwork.
