Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or related behavioral health field required.
• Experience working within addiction treatment, behavioral health, or mental health settings preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Demonstrated compassion, professionalism, organization, and commitment to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments for newly admitted patients.
• Evaluate and document risk factors, including potential harm to self or others.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals, interventions, and timelines.
• Provide individual therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based treatment approaches.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions focused on addiction recovery, mental health, coping skills, and overall wellness.
• Conduct family therapy sessions to support treatment and recovery outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams to develop effective discharge and aftercare plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge recommendations.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Utilize motivational interviewing (MI), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other therapeutic modalities to support patient success.
• Apply crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to promote patient safety and engagement in treatment.
• Foster a therapeutic environment that respects patient dignity, privacy, independence, and emotional well-being.
• Participate in clinical supervision, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development activities.
• Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, compliance standards, and licensure requirements.
