Job summary

Compass Health, Inc. in Festus is seeking a Behavioral Technician to support individuals in crisis at our Behavioral Health Crisis Center (BHCC).

This PRN, part-time position offers compassionate care and safety-focused daily support in a busy environment. Under supervision of the Triage Clinician Lead, you will assist with daily needs, participate in medication administration after training, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide quality care.

Qualifications

• One year of psychiatric, nursing, or emergency room experience preferred.
• High School/GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered support to individuals during crisis, ensuring daily needs are met.
• Monitor safety and engage with individuals to create a supportive environment.
• Participate in medication administration (following L1MA training).
• Share observations and feedback with the treatment team to enhance care.
• Assist in keeping the BHCC environment organized, clean, and welcoming.
• Act as a mentor to new staff and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.

Schedule: PRN, Weekend overnights and Weekday shifts preferred. 8 Hours weekly.

As a Behavioral Technician (Internal title: Community Living Instructor BHCC) at our Behavioral Health Crisis Center (BHCC), you’ll ensure individuals receive the care, comfort, and support they need during a behavioral health crisis. Working under the supervision of the Triage Clinician Lead, you’ll play an important role in maintaining safety, assisting with daily needs, and helping people feel supported and valued during a difficult time.
